Representing water, this bubbly, wavy , flowing necklace hangs long…somewhere near the upper stomach area, in the solar plexus chakra. This chakra is an energy center relating to your ability to be confident and in control of your life.
Hand crafted in copper, the surface has been manipulated to form bubble shapes, with rivulets of silver wire, flowing tear drops, and moving pieces dangling from the bottom. The copper section is 1 1/2″ by 3″. A silver river of waves at the top contrasts with the coppery patina. Strung with a long strand of blue-green Czech seed beads with random accents. Hook and eye clasp is handmade in silver.
A brass 1/2″ by 2″ brass tab with sterling silver accents soldered onto the surface. One side of the “wand” decoration, and above the “crescent”, is a textured wave pattern that is toned with a rust colored stain.
The 16″ necklace is strung with silver toned disc beads, with two red trade bead accents. A hand forged sterling silver hook and eye clasp finishes the end.
A tab of sterling silver is pierced with stars and a hand forged closed spiral in brass is soldered in the middle. A stream of tiny stamped stars swirls around the spiral. A 16″ strand of old red-brown glass beads threads through a silver tube at the top. Handmade sterling hook and eye clasp.
The shield is backed with a 1 3/8″ diameter disc of brass . The top piece is sterling silver with stamped designs. Sandwiched between is a heavy disc of brown leather. All three are pressed together by a sterling silver rivet. Above this are two hand forged sterling arcs, for balance. This assembly drops down 2 1/2″ from the thong and hangs close to the throat chakra. Some of my pieces have designs that represent the four directions, as does the central disc in this shield necklace.
Every component is hand made. The end caps on the leather, the hook clasp, the subtle little charm with an eye symbol.
The three tabs on this necklace have tiny pierced triangles and are cut from heavy sterling silver. The central one has a domed disc, surrounded by a triangle stamps and measures 1 1/4″ across. The other two measure 3/4″ across. Six tubes flank the tabs and the clasp is hook and eye.
A deep, round Moonstone cabochon rests on a large leaf pendant, entwined with flowing silver wire and cradled in three strands of pale lemon and chartreuse Czech beads. The clasp is fashioned from two silver discs with hand stamped patterns. This piece is 18″.
